Swansea manager Paul Clement says he hopes to see Tottenham’s deadline day signing Fernando Llorente on the bench when he takes his side to Wembley on Saturday.

The Spaniard, who left Swansea to join Mauricio Pochettino on the final day of the transfer window, scored 15 goals to help keep the Welsh side in the Premier League last term – nine of which came under Clement.

However, having seen his former striker come off the bench to make his Spurs debut against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, Clement is hoping the 32-year-old will be staying firmly amongst the subs.

"I have a good relationship with him and I saw him come on against Dortmund," the former Bayern Munich assistant said.

"It was strange to see him in a Spurs shirt, it was a white kit but not the white of Swansea.

"I look forward to seeing him, but hopefully he will remain on the bench for the game."

Spurs will be looking to follow up their Champions League win with their first Premier League victory at Wembley and will be full of confidence after two wins on the bounce.
