Manchester United opted against making the striker’s move to Old Trafford permanent after scoring just four goals in 29 appearances for the club.
Despite a mixed season in England, the 29-year-old hopes to extend his stay in the Premier League, with Chelsea reportedly weighing-up a loan offer for the Colombia international.
“Everyone knows it was a difficult and complicated season for me,” said Falcao. “I didn't have the opportunity to play as much as I would have liked.”
Jorge Mendes, his agent, also represents Blues boss Jose Mourinho, and Falcao is believed to be prepared to take a significant pay-cut to seal a move to Stamford Bridge.
