Paris Saint-Germain will be without Lionel Messi as they face RB Leipzig in the Champions League tonight.

Messi was taken off at half-time during Friday’s 2-1 Ligue 1 win over Lille.

The Argentine had missed training a day earlier and he will also sit out tonight’s game in Germany.

A PSG statement on Tuesday read: “Leo Messi has hamstring discomfort in his left leg and knee pain following a contusion.”

However, Kylian Mbappe is fit to return after missing the Lille win due to an infection. Mbappe has now returned to training and is available for selection.

PSG are top of Group A with seven points from three games, with Manchester City second on six.

Club Brugge are on four points while Bundesliga side Leipzig have yet to earn a point after losing all three games so far.

PSG starting XI: Navas, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes, Danilo, Gueye, Wijnaldum, Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar.
