Leicester winger Demarai Gray was shown a yellow card after dedicating his goal to club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha during Saturday’s Premier League clash against Cardiff.

Srivaddhanaprabha was one of five people killed last Saturday when his helicopter crashed outside the club’s King Power Stadium following a league match against West Ham.

The Leicester team led a tearful minute’s silence before kick-off ahead of Saturday’s match against Cardiff in the Welsh capital.

Gray, 22, scored the game’s opening goal before removing his jersey to reveal a shirt bearing the message ‘For Khun Vichai.’

Referee Lee Probert however showed the player a yellow card – usually standard practise for player’s removing their jersey during celebrations.

The Cardiff match is Leicester’s first since last week’s tragedy, with the midweek EFL Cup tie against Southamtpon postponed

Prior to kick-off, supporters from both sides passed huge flags reading "RIP Vichai" before the players, dressed in black, gathered around the centre circle for the silence.

The 11 Leicester starting players were also joined by substitutes and staff, a rare occurrence for a minute's silence.
