Tottenham will tonight hope to start another run deep into the Carabao Cup when facing Nottingham Forest in the third round.

Tonight’s tie is set to push Antonio Conte’s squad to the limit once again after an improvised line-up was defeated by Liverpool in the weekend, which saw Ivan Perisic partner Harry Kane in attack to somewhat success.

But Spurs have reached at least the final four in three of the last four seasons, with their 2008 final victory over Chelsea infamously still representing their most recent trophy lift.

Forest, meanwhile, have only reached the fourth round once in their last 17 attempts.
