Chelsea signing Michy Batshuayi has joined up with his new team-mates for the first time following his move from Marseille.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Blues earlier this month before taking a brief break after competing at Euro 2016 with the Belgium national side.

Batshuayi was absent as Chelsea lost their pre-season opener 2-0 to Rapid Vienna on Saturday, but speaking after the game Antonio Conte confirmed the £33.1million addition was poised to return to training ahead of their next friendly.

Conte's men will face Austrian club Wolfsberger AC on Wednesday as they step up preparations for the new Premier League season and Batshuayi was put through his paces as the Italian took training in Austria on Monday.

A message on Chelsea's official Twitter account read: "Our new signing Michy Batshuayi has joined up with the squad for training today."

The Belgium international scored 17 Ligue 1 goals in 32 starts for Marseille last term before scoring from the bench in Belgium's 4-0 victory over Hungary at the European Championships.

Speaking about the striker last week, Conte said: "He uses two feet. He is a great talent. I am very happy that Batshuayi is with us and I know the club bought a great player for the present and the future."
