Mauricio Pochettino vows to dance with Daniel Levy on White Hart Lane pitch if Tottenham win Premier League title

Mauricio Pochettino has promised to dance the tango with Daniel Levy on the White Hart Lane pitch if Tottenham win the Premier League title.

Pochettino believes Spurs are in the race to win the crown after their 2-0 victory over Chelsea in midweek ended the league leaders’ 13-match winning streak.

And he vowed that if Tottenham do take the trophy, he will put on a show for the supporters with Levy, the club’s chairman.

“Yes, maybe we try,” he said. “Why not? If we win the Premier League, I will do anything. We are in a good position – third in the table after 20 games.

“Sometimes in the big games you might not play your best, but you need always to be competitive.

"Maybe that is what we missed last season when we were challenging Leicester for the title, so the Chelsea game was a big statement and a big step forward.

“If we can keep that mentality, we will always be close to winning games. The physical demand is massive but so is the mental one.”

Pochettino confirmed he is likely to rest a number of his key players for Sunday’s FA Cup third-round tie at home to Aston Villa on Sunday.

Spurs have not won the FA Cup since 1991 and their manager added: “I want to win titles because it means a lot for our players, our club and our fans.”
