Mauricio Pochettino has claimed he is unfazed about being linked to Chelsea's vacant managerial position and is fully focused on Tottenham.

The Argentine coach took the reins at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2014 and has earned a reputation as one of the most promising young managers in the game.

Pochettino's success in north London has not gone unnoticed elsewhere and reports earlier this week suggested he has been identified as one of several candidates who could take charge at Stamford Bridge when Guus Hiddink's temporary reign ends at the end of the season.

But the 43-year-old has dismissed speculation surrounding his future and reiterated his desire to continue with his project at White Hart Hart Lane.

When asked directly if him being linked to the Chelsea job could cause any unrest at Spurs Pochettino told Press Association Sport: "No, I don't mind.

"We are supposed to receive the rumours and we are in a media that all is about rumours. But I don't care about that.

"It's the same with any rumours about players, there's a lot of names in the media now. My focus is here, to try for success at Tottenham and to work hard.

"That's all about rumours. I always work for the present and the future. I'm very happy here.

"We've created after 18 months a very good group, with a strong basis for success in the future and I'm very happy. My job is to be focused, not to hear rumours.

"The most important thing is that I'm focused on my job," he insisted.

Tottenham currently occupy fourth place in the Premier League table and are on course to secure a place in next season's Champions League if their form is maintained during the second half of the campaign.

Spurs have not competed in Europe's primary competition since the 2010-11 season.
