Manchester City v Wigan team news: Manuel Pellegrini makes six changes

 
Top-scorers: Negredo and Aguero lead the goalscoring charts at the Etihad

Manchester City made six changes for their FA Cup quarter-final against holders Wigan at the Etihad Stadium.

Vincent Kompany and David Silva - who were on the bench - and Pablo Zabaleta and Fernandinho were all given a rest, but Capital One Cup final goalscorers Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas all started. Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo were reunited up front.

In-form Wigan also made six changes for their rerun of last year's final, the most notable being in goal as former England goalkeeper Scott Carson replaced Ali Al Habsi.

Man City: Pantilimon, Richards, Lescott, Demichelis, Clichy, Jesus Navas, Toure, Javi Garcia, Nasri, Negredo, Aguero. Subs: Hart, Kompany, Milner, Dzeko, Kolarov, Rodwell, Silva.

Wigan: Carson, Boyce, Perch, Ramis, Crainey, McManaman, McCann, McArthur, McEachran, Gomez, Fortune. Subs: Holgersson, Rogne, McClean, Espinoza, Barnett, Al Habsi, Maynard.
