As Manchester City begin the biggest fortnight in their season, Bernardo Silva insists they are “better prepared” then ever in the Champions League.

City host Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tonight before they welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in a potential Premier League title-decider.

The return game against Atletico follows in Madrid three days later before City and Liverpool meet again in the FA Cup semi-finals.

It is an 11-day period that could define their season, and Silva says City are relishing the pressure.

“They are a very competitive side, very organised, with a very specific style of play,” said Silva.

“I am pretty sure it will not be easy for us but, if we follow Pep’s plan and do our jobs, it is going to work out.

“The team I see today is a very well prepared team for these kind of moments. We were a great team five seasons ago, but the team now is much better prepared for these moments.”
