Liverpool vs Swansea team news: Sturridge returns to the squad as Klopp makes two changes

Returning: Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to the side which beat Manchester City last weekend as Daniel Sturridge returns to the bench.

Sturridge had been set to return to the matchday squad for Thursday's Europa League group match with Bordeaux, but pulled out hours before kick-off with another injury complaint.

But Klopp believes the England international is ready to feature in some capacity, naming him among the substitutes alongside Jordan Henderson, who is also returning from injury.

Coutinho, however, is not fit enough to make the squad and drops out as Christian Benteke comes into the starting line-up alongside Roberto Firmino.

The only other change sees Jordon Ibe start in place of the suspended Lucas.

For the visitors, Gylfi Sigurdsson replaces the suspended Jonjo Shelvey.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno, Milner, Can, Ibe, Firmino, Lallana, Benteke.

Subs: Toure, Henderson, Sturridge, Allen, Origi, Bogdan, Randall.

Swansea: Fabianski, Naughton, Bartley, Williams, Taylor, Britton, Ki, Routledge, Sigurdsson, Ayew, Eder.

Subs: Nordfeldt, Gomis, Montero, Grimes, Rangel, Cork, Fernandez.

Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire)
