Outgoing Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says he is 'very excited' about the signing of striker Danny Ings.
The Reds captured the 22-year-old after his Burnley contract expired earlier this month but compensation is yet to be agreed between the two clubs.
And Gerrard believes Ings, who scored 11 goals for the Clarets last term as Sean Dyche's men ultimately lost out in the battle for survival, will go on to become a top striker at Anfield.
The midfielder, who will officially join LA Galaxy in July told Liverpool's official website: "The Ings one I'm really excited about because he can be what he wants to be - I know the talent's there, he's very young, he's fresh.

"I think if he carries on learning and developing he can become a top striker and we love top strikers, so it's there for them, the stage is there and I wish [him] the best of luck and I'm looking forward to watching [him] play."
