Josh McQuoid out for a month

Josh McQuoid must be thinking he is jinxed after the latest training mishap has put him out for a month at Millwall.

The striker always seems to suffer from training ground setbacks, the latest being torn ankle ligaments after a freak twist for the 21‑year‑old. McQuoid had only completed his permanent move from Bournemouth last week after being on loan at Millwall.

Manager Kenny Jackett could try to bring in Arsenal's fringe player Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to cover for McQuoid's loss. Another option is a new loan move for Jason Puncheon, who is now back at Southampton.
