Robbie Savage believes that Chelsea might as well be handed the Premier League trophy now given their dominant streak under Antonio Conte.

The Blues are seven points clear at the top of the league following 12 straight top flight victories and have conceded just two goals since September.

Chelsea, who led the way on December 25, have gone on to win the title on the four occasions they have occupied top spot on Christmas Day, while only one team has failed to convert festive top spot into league honours in the past seven seasons.

"Give them the trophy now - I can't see anyone catching them," Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"Great defence and great attacking play. They can play all styles; they can break teams down."

Chelsea can match Arsenal's Premier League record winning streak against Tottenham on January 4 if they beat Stoke on New Year's Eve.

Conte was delighted to see his side record a comfortabl win over Bournemouth on Boxing Day despite not having Diego Costa or N'Golo Kante, who were serving suspensions.

He said: "I received a great answer of all the group. It's fantastic to know you can count on all players. They deserved this victory in this way."
