Fulham recorded their first home win of the season but boss Slavisa Jokanovic warned his side they must improve if they want to return to the Premier League.

Last night’s 2-1 victory over Hull took Fulham up to 13th but Jokanovic was critical of their performance.

“We showed some quality but to be a more serious and competitive team we must improve,” he said. “We must find the solution to play better football.

“This is not enough. It is not enough for me, not enough for the supporters or for the team. We must work harder and improve. I am satisfied with three points but I am not satisfied with our performance.”

Floyd Ayite and Stefan Johansen were on target for Fulham but a string of chances went begging and Jokanovic added: “You cannot create 100 chances before scoring.

“You must show more quality. We are dominating. I was worried and it was not a healthy game for us.

“We must be more brave, more solid, more adult, if you want. There are always some moments when you are not comfortable, when the other team dominates you. In this moment we must understand, interpret the situation better and finish the game in an easier way. All the other games at home are heart-attack games, which is not healthy.”

Injured duo Tom Cairney and Rui Fonte are unlikely to return for Saturday’s game at Burton.
