Standard Sport brings you the best lines from Friday’s papers, including potential managerial changes, and early season rumblings ahead of the January transfer window.

There may be a good two months to go before the window opens, but there are plenty of sparks flying in the transfer rumour mill at present.

Radamel Falcao's frustrations at Chelsea show no signs of easing as he failed to make it off the bench in a 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday. Italian league leaders Fiorentina may be keen to add the Colombian to their striking options, but can they get a complex deal done?

But the major rumour of the day is not in any doubt, as once again the Premier League’s leading sides are linked with a move for Lionel Messi.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all reported to be weighing up a move for one of football’s all-time greats, but could any of them convince the Barcelona icon to trade in the Camp Nou for wet Wednesday nights at the Britannia?

Elsewhere Nuri Sahin may be set for a surprise return to Anfield, will it work out this time?
