FC Barcelona XI vs Galatasaray: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Europa League

Marc Mayo10 March 2022

Barcelona have options for tonight’s meeting with Galatasaray, with the likes of Memphis Depay, Adama Traore and Ferran Torres all pushing to start.

The first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie takes place at the Camp Nou after the LaLiga giants dispatched Napoli in their play-off, having been dumped out of the Champions League.

Manager Xavi has a decision to make in attack with Gavi absent due to suspension. The youngster lined up alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele for the weekend win at Elche.

Coming off the bench to score both goals in the comeback win were Depay and Torres, who will now hope to start against Galatasaray.

The Turkish side won a tough Europa League group featuring Lazio and Marseille but are mid-table in the Super Lig, and lost again at the weekend.

Therefore Barcelona may make changes with Martin Braithwaite included in the matchday squad, which was confirmed on Wednesday.

Their absentees are Dani Alves (not registered), Ansu Fati (hamstring), Samuel Umtiti (foot), Sergi Roberto (thigh) and Gavi (suspended).

Predicted Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Dest, Araujo, Pique, Alba; Pedri, Busquets, F. De Jong; Torres, Aubameyang, Depay.
