Euro 2016 golden boot: West Ham's Payet and Arsenal's Giroud among favourites to top scoring charts

Both Dimitri Payet and Olivier Giroud took their respective Euro 2016 goalscoring tallies to three in the victory over Iceland on Sunday.

Giroud hit a brace as the hosts ended Iceland's unlikely charge to the latter stages of the tournament, while Payet was on target before the break to add to his two scored during the group stages.

Both are in contention to top the scoring charts after France set up a semi-final with Germany, but team-mate Antoine Griezmann currently stands in the way.

The Atletico Madrid man is the favourite to win the Golden Boot after moving clear of the chasing pack with his fourth goal of the European Championships against Lars Lagerback's men.

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo join Payet and Giroud on three goals, while Nani remains in the frame following efforts against Iceland and Hungary in the group stages

Thomas Muller, who won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup, is yet to register and is a massive 250/1 to eclipse Griezmann's tally in the next two games, should Germany progress.
