England's Harry Kane needs to be in the box - he's wasted on corners, says Harry Redknapp

Harry Kane is wasted taking corners. If I was him, I’d want to be in the middle on the end of balls into the box. If you talk about goalscorers, you never saw Gary Lineker or Alan Shearer taking corners, did you?

Harry is good in the air and an excellent finisher. When the ball drops in the box, you want your sharpest players in front of goal to take advantage. Harry can do that, so it isn’t right he is out there taking corners.

I’m sure Danny Rose could take them from one side and we can surely find someone else for the other.

It is strange, but you know what will happen: he’ll take one against Wales, England will score and Roy will say, “I told you so!”

Marseille was a big mistake

Uefa clearly didn’t put any thought into staging the England v Russia game. It was ridiculous: Marseille is a dangerous place. It has kicked off there in the past and Joey Barton told me it was likely to happen again because some of the locals like a scrap, too.

I flew out to France and was in my hotel room in Marseille but could see tear gas and aggravation out of the window. It was all kicking off and the coach couldn’t get us close to the ground. I just wanted to stay out of trouble. I don’t understand what it is all about. Why can’t people just enjoy the game?
