Joe Hart was in relaxed and confident mood as he discussed England’s chances at the World Cup and said, “we’re looking to win every game”.

The goalkeeper, who was third choice four years ago in South Africa but is now firmly established as England’s No.1 said: “It’s a very exciting time. We’ve worked hard and had a good few weeks together where we’ve had a lot of time as a group.

“We’re looking to win every game and we need to concentrate on ourselves and what we’re doing.”

When asked about the conditions, Hart said: “It’s unusual to be playing in the jungle but it’s a World Cup game and we would play on anything to play in a World Cup.”

The Manchester City keeper said the atmosphere in the camp was “totally different from four years ago” and that the group was “happy as a unit - both as a squad and the whole set-up as well.”

Hart paid special tribute to his central defenders, calling Gary Cahill and Phil Jagileka “a very strong partnership”.
