Emmanuel Frimpong not looking for Arsenal exit

Emmanuel Frimpong has quashed speculation he will leave Arsenal in January but has indicated that he would like to go out on loan.

Frimpong broke in to the Arsenal first-team squad last year and was then loaned to Wolves in January but a serious knee injury cut short his season.

The midfielder returned to action in September but has only played two games for the Gunners since.

That has prompted speculation the 20-year-old was set to leave the club, but Frimpong took to Twitter to deny that was the case.

The Ghanaian, who has 18 months left on his current deal, does want to go out on loan, however, with Wolves and Ipswich, who are managed by former Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy, both thought to be interested in the combative midfielder.

"Subject to rumours am not leaving afc I am positive of going on loan this week which am really excited about and I am fully committed to afc," said Frimpong, who has been at Arsenal since he was nine years old.

"And am not in my last year or looking to be sold just to clear matters thank you and going on loan to get games and cum back to arsenal."
