Chelsea striker Diego Costa ensured that his displeasure at being left on the bench for the Blues' 0-0 draw with Tottenham made it onto the post-match agenda by throwing his bib at Jose Mourinho.

While the forward's petulant act has been condemned by some, fellow unused substitute John Obi Mikel certainly saw the funny side of his teammates' reaction.

Costa was omitted from the champions' starting line up but appeared to be set for a late cameo appearance when he was sent out to warm up during the closing stages of the game.

However, Mourinho decided to bring on Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of the Spain international, who responded by launching his training gear over his shoulder in the direction of the Chelsea manager.

Mikel sat next to Costa throughout the game and couldn't help but have a big of a giggle as his colleague's frustration boiled over.

Kurt Zouma afforded himself a wry smile too.

Mourinho played the issue down after the game and claimed that "If he [Costa] wants to hurt me it would not be with a bib. I have a good relationship with him."
