David Ginola: Mohamed Salah can do things Harry Kane cannot - it's impossible to compare them

1/26

It is "impossible" to compare Harry Kane to Mohamed Salah as the Liverpool star can do thing his Tottenham counterpart cannot, says David Ginola.

Salah is set to end Kane's dominance in the Premier League scoring stakes, sitting one goal away from a record Premier League goal return in a 38-game season.

Kane scored his 27th goal of the league season on Monday night, which would have won him the Golden Boot in 14 of the previous Premier League campaign.

Salah - fresh from being crowned both PFA and FWA player of the year - is a step above according to former Spurs favourite Ginola.

"The main problem with Harry Kane is, when he is not on the goal sheet, his impact on the game with his team is not as relevant as what it was before," Ginola told talkSPORT.

"If he doesn't score, he doesn't have the same impact upon the team."

He added: "You can't put Harry Kane on the same level... it's impossible! Because when it comes to talking about skills, skills are something you learn.

"The talent of scoring goals and the talent to be able to do things with the football are different.

"If you take [Diego] Maradona, Ronaldinho… they were the most skilful players around - they could do things with the football other professional players could only dream about.

"Harry Kane is not capable of doing things like Messi and Ronaldo do with a football, in terms of his quick feet. Salah can do things Harry can't."
