Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic has admitted he is unsure of his future ahead of what he concedes will be a difficult Premier League season.

The Serbian midfielder, Palace's top scorer for the last two Premier League campaigns, has one year left on his deal at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have sold star youngster Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in a deal worth £50million and are yet to replace him, while Wilfried Zaha has handed in a transfer request and could still depart after Thursday's English deadline .

Victor Camarasa, James McCarthy and Jordan Ayew have all arrived, as well as Stephen Henderson as a third-choice keeper, but Palace are still lacking in key areas, while should they manage to hold onto Zaha he is not ready to start the season after international commitments over the summer.

With less than a year left on his current deal, Milivojevic is keen to stay but unclear on what the future holds.

"Yeah I would like [to stay], but we will see what will happen," he told the BBC.

"It will be hard this season, we have to see how the season will start. At the moment we have some issues with players with injuries, I don't expect honestly an easy start but we will see.

"For me as a captain it is very hard to give some comment about [the lack of signings].

"Of course I have my opinion but it is hard to say my opinion in public, because that is something for the people within the club. That is their job, their responsibility and I am the player in the team and I try to do my best with the players we have.

"I am so happy to see Wilfried today, he is back. I hope when we are all fit we have a good squad."
