Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has reacted furiously to referee Andre Marriner's performance in Sunday's 2-2 Premier League draw with Swansea.

Cahill appeared to be kicked on the heels as Leroy Fer stole possession with the score at 1-1, but Marriner waved play on as the Swansea midfielder went on to put his side 2-1 ahead.

Diego Costa scored his second goal of the game to rescue a draw nine minutes from time, but a point was the least of Cahill's concerns as he vented his frustration at Marriner after the match.

The centre-back risked the wrath of the FA after posting a clip of the challenge by Fer on Twitter, before posting a follow-up message which simply read 'Incredible,' followed by nine angry emoji faces.

Cahill told BBC Sport: "It's a clear foul. I'm frustrated. Come on, seriously! You could be sat on the moon and see it is a clear foul.

"I took the touch away from [Fer], he came through the back of me. It was clear as day and seeing it back has made me even more angry.

"It's all fun and games for the fans isn't it, but it's the players who suffer. That kills me and kills my team. We have dropped two points which is massive in this league.

"Look at my face! It's incredible. I said to the referee 'there's three of you that can see that'. There were two fouls, and between the officials they have said that they couldn't see it. For me that is incredible."

Antonio Conte also criticised Marriner's decision not to award a free kick as well as to hand Swansea a penalty for Thibaut Courtois' challenge on Gylfi Sigurdsson for the Swans' opener.

The Italian boss also suggested that Diego Costa was not afforded proper protection by the official, telling Sky Sports:"We know today we lost two points.

"We conceded two goals - one after our free-kick - and the second goal I think that everyone can see the situation.

"I don't want to talk about the decision [for the second Swansea goal] but I think it was a bad decision by the referee.

"I can tell you that Diego Costa from the first minute to 94 minutes... he took a lot of kicks. It's incredible the defender didn't finish [sent-off] before the match."
