Chelsea forward Eden Hazard deserves to win the Premier League's Player of the Month award for August following his scintillating form, according to statistics provided by daily fantasy football game Oulala.

Manchester United's Antonio Valencia, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling and Hull City's Curtis Davies are up against Chelsea forward Hazard for the monthly award, but stats reveal that Hazard is favourite to land his first ever Premier League monthly prize.

The Belgium international has rediscovered the form that saw him crowned the Premier League's Player of the Year for the 2014/15 season.

A disappointing 2015/16 campaign followed, but the 25-year-old appeared to find his feet in the final few games of the season as well as putting in some excellent performances for Belgium at Euro 2016.

Oulala trawled through the player performance data of all four nominees for the monthly award, and it was Hazard that came out on top in a host of key areas.

While Hull centre-back Davies and Manchester United wing-back Valencia have put in some excellent displays, neither dominates their respective defensive key areas as Hazard has done in attack for Chelsea so far this season.

Sterling has adapted well to life under new City manager Pep Guardiola following a poor showing at Euro 2016, having registered two goals and two assists in his side's opening three league games.

But Hazard tops the charts in three categories, completing the most successful dribbles (17) - four more than any other Premier League player.

His shot accuracy - an impressive 58 per cent - is the best from all 10 player to have registered more than 10 shots so far this season. It's also no surprise to see that his fast feet have caused defenders problems, drawing 10 fouls.

A goal against both West Ham and Burnley has Hazard sat third in the goal scoring charts, with Sergio Aguero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic the only players to have scored three goals in their opening three games.

With 14 attempts at goal, Hazard again sits third in the rankings for shots, with Aguero and Philippe Coutinho the only players to have recorded more shots (15).

The six key passes that Hazard has produced puts the winger ninth in the overall player rankings, while the 152 successful passes he has completed in his opening three fixtures, puts him 14th.
