Chelsea's Antonio Conte holds open training session with Michy Batshuayi and N'Golo Kante ahead of West Ham game

Chelsea fans were handed their first chance to see new coach Antonio Conte put his squad through their paces during an open training session at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The Italian was seen watching closely as new signings Michy Batshuayi and N'Golo Kante along with the rest of the Chelsea squad trained in front of 5,000 supporters in west London shortly after Emma Hayes' Chelsea Ladies underwent a session of their own.

Conte, Batshuayi, Kante and the entire Chelsea team were also presented to the crowd, just a few days before the players return to Stamford Bridge to kick-start the new Premier League season with a home clash against London rivals West Ham.

Speaking about the day, Ruben Loftus-Cheek said: "The whole squad have been working really hard, we all put in the work and we’re ready to go on Monday. We look good and we look sharp, we’re working tactically on our shape and we’re really excited.

"The manager has been great; he’s a really nice man. During training, one thing I’ve really noticed is that he’s always trying to help you and coach you individually.

"It doesn’t matter whether you’ve come over from the Academy or if you’re a top player like John Terry, he’s always trying to make you better which is something I admire about him."
