Chelsea winger Marko Marin has completed a season-long loan move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, the Blues confirmed on Tuesday.

The champions released a statement on their official website that revealed the 26-year-old will spend the current campaign on loan in Turkey, with Trabzonspor having the option to buy the Germany international at the end of the season.

"Marko Marin has today joined Trabzonspor on loan for the duration of the season," the statement read.

"The winger will spend the 2015/16 campaign on loan in Turkey and the agreement includes an option to purchase."

Marin's departure comes after the winger spent the past few seasons on loan following his arrival in London in a £6.5million deal from Werder Bremen in 2012.

After making 16 appearances and scoring one goal in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, Marin spent the 2013/14 campaign with Spanish club Sevilla where he won a Europa League winner's medal.

The midfielder then went to Italian side Fiorentina last term and scored two goals in four appearances for the Serie A club before he completed another loan move to Belgian champions Anderlecht in January 2015.

The winger now looks set to end his stay at Chelsea by moving to Turkey for the remainder of the season, with the news coming hours after Juan Cuadrado finalised his season-long loan transfer to Juventus.
