Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is still demanding improvement from N'Golo Kante despite calling the midfielder 'extraordinary'.

The £32million signing of Kante from Leicester last summer has made a huge impact on a club that finished 10th last season.

Kante followed up a superb display in the 1-1 draw at Liverpool last week with another against Arsenal.

The France international is on course to become the first player to win the Premier League in successive seasons with different clubs but Conte believes the best is still to come from the midfielder and said: “Kante is extraordinary. He brings a lot of quantity.

“He should improve in his build up play. His first pass is always horizontal and he needs to make that vertical. I was just like him [as a player], so I understand.

“He’s a really good lad, always helping his team-mates. He’s been a great buy, though he’s often tired by the time he gets to the goal. He’s still young and can improve.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea target Moussa Dembele claims he is not looking to leave Celtic. Chelsea made an enquiry for the striker last month and is valued at £40million by the Scottish champions.

Dembele said: “I don’t really let this type of thing get in my head. I’m very happy and hope to be here as long as I can.”
