Gareth Bale starts on the bench as Real Madrid aim to become the first team to retain the Champions League trophy as they face Juventus at the Millennium Stadium.

The Wales international has not played since damaging his calf against Barcelona on April 23 and said this week that he remains not fully fit.

Isco continues to start in his absence, while Juve are led by 39-year-old captain Gianluigi Buffon looking to win the Champions League for the first time since 1996.

Former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain leads the line for the Old Lady.
