West Ham will find out in the next 48 hours whether their £26million move for AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca has been successful.

The Hammers have agreed a fee for Bacca and the 29-year-old Colombia international will now decide on a move to Upton Park.

Slaven Bilic wants to sign to a top striker and Bacca has emerged as his main target after West Ham cooled their interest in Christian Benteke.

AC Milan are willing to let him leave and, according to West Ham co-owner David Sullivan’s son Jack, the player has held talks with the Hammers.

Atletico Madrid are also interested in Bacca, who scored 20 goals in 42 appearances for Milan last season.

The signing of Bacca could pave the way for Diafra Sakho to leave.

The 26-year-old wants to move on but will not be sold until a replacement is found.
