Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has revealed the toughest opponent he has ever faced in his short career to date is Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.

The pair came up against each other when Arsenal visited Old Trafford earlier this year, a game that saw Rashford make his Premier League debut.

Following his impressive United debut in the Europa League against FC Midtjylland the week before, Rashford then enjoyed a superb game against the Gunners as the 18-year-old netted twice and created another in a 3-2 win for the Red Devils.

Koscielny played in that match, alongside Gabriel, in central defence and Rashford admitted the Frenchman proved "difficult" to face despite the fact he managed to score twice on the day.

When asked who the toughest opponent he has played against is, Rashford told United's official website: "I think, individually, it would be Laurent Koscielny at Arsenal.

"He was a difficult defender to play against."

United and Arsenal will next come up against each other on Saturday 19 November, although the Red Devils will first have the tricky task of overcoming fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night. The Gunners, meanwhile, host Swansea City this Saturday.
