Nicklas Bendtner endured a first training session with FC Copenhagen he would probably rather forget.

The former Arsenal striker this week signed for the Danish champions on a deal that runs until the end of December.

It was a special moment for the 31-year-old, leaving Rosenberg where he won two league titles to return to his home city.

But his new employers will be hoping for a swift improvement in front of goal after footage of a rather fruitless training session emerged.

Bendtner misses a string of one-on-ones as he is put through his paces, seeing a number of tame efforts saved, hitting the woodwork, slicing efforts wide and attempting one dinked effort that lands right in the goalkeeper's arms.

Copenhagen will be hoping to see more of the form that saw Bendtner score 35 goals in 86 games for Rosenborg.

The Dane joined Arsenal at the age of 16, scoringe 45 goals in 171 appearances over nine years for the Gunners before leaving in 2014 for Wolfsburg.

He later played for Nottingham Forest, moving to Rosenborg in 2017.
