Arsenal are sweating over the fitness of Alexandre Lacazette after he limped off during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Mikel Arteta confirmed after the match that the Frenchman had an issue with his hamstring and he will now be assessed to see how bad it is.

Arsenal will hope any injury to Lacazette is not serious as they are already without captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who contracted malaria while on international duty with Gabon last month.

“He felt his hamstring so we don’t know,” said Arteta, when asked by Sky Sports about Lacazette.

“We have to rotate players, we have players who didn’t recover from the game on Thursday. That is the risk. You cannot change those players every game.

“We had 16 shots, probably not enough on target, goals disallowed, a post, that is the difference, you have to win this game.”

With Lacazette coming off injured, Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score and snatch a point for Arsenal.
