Southampton manager Alan Pardew is eyeing a summer move for Barnet winger Albert Adomah.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season after rejecting a new three-year deal that would have made him the highest paid player in the club's history.

The former Harrow Borough player wants to perform at a higher level and was a target for Championship clubs Blackpool and Plymouth in the January transfer window before they cooled their interest.

However, former Charlton and West Ham boss Pardew is ready to make a move for the highly-rated wide man at the end of the season. Adomah featured in the Underhill side's disappointing 3-0 defeat at Bournemouth last night, where Brett Pitman hit a double.
