Flintoff returns for ODI

12 April 2012

England will welcome back all-rounder Andrew Flintoff for Friday's third one-day international against West Indies at the Kensington Oval.

The 31-year-old Lancastrian returns to England's line-up for the first time in a month, since injuring his hip during the third Test in Antigua.

The tourists are yet to decide who will make way for Flintoff, but off-spinner Gareth Batty and fast bowler Steve Harmison are the likely candidates as England attempt to bounce back from Sunday's 21-runs defeat in Guyana which levelled the five-match series at 1-1.

Captain Andrew Strauss said: "After only two games there are no obvious candidates to be dropped but that is a minor problem when you put it into the context of having 'Fred' back in the side. There are a few options for us to consider and we'll be considering them."
