Ferguson brings in Queiroz

Former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz has been appointed assistant manager under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, it was announced today.

Elsewhere, Lee Bowyer is set to leave Leeds after being transfer-listed for a second time. He said: "I feel I am being pushed out and am no longer wanted."

And Manchester City have completed the £3.5m signing of Argentinian striker Matias Vuoso from Independiente.
