Eto'o stays put at the Nou Camp

Samuel Eto'o is staying at Barcelona for this season, coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

Eto'o, Deco and Ronaldinho were told earlier this summer they would be allowed to leave the club, with the Cameroon striker linked with a move to Chelsea.

But while Ronaldinho has joined AC Milan and Deco made the switch to Stamford Bridge, Eto'o has remained at Barca and was impressive during pre-season. In a statement the club said: "Josep Guardiola has decided Samuel Eto'o will continue for one more season here."
