England reach Netball World Cup semi-finals after win over Trinidad & Tobago

England have reached the Netball World Cup semi-final after beating Trinidad & Tobago 72-46 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Roses made it four wins from four to reach the last four, where they will play either Australia or New Zealand who face each other on Thursday morning.

After making no changes during the win over world no.2 Jamaica, Tracey Neville brought in two fresh faces as Rachel Dunn come in at goal shooter and Natalie Haythornwaite at wing attack.

It was a far from vintage display from the Rose, who started slowly but ended the first quarter 20-12 ahead, only for Trinidad to come within four points at 23-19 at the M&S Bank Arena.

Dunn was withdrawn with an apparent wrist injury but Jo Harten missed only one attempt at goal in the half as England moved 40-22 ahead at the end of the second quarter.

A similar dominant third quarter all but sealed victory as the hosts built up a 24-point lead much they maintained until the final whistle.
