Edge-of-the-seat time for Smith

Kelly Smith admitted she could barely watch as England let slip a two-goal lead before Karen Carney scored in injury time to give the hosts a 3-2 win over Finland in their opening game of Euro 2005.

Smith played a key role in giving England a 2-0 half-time lead before being substituted.

She said: "I had my head in my hands"
