Earl quick to fan the fire

Earl Woods watched Tiger totally dominate the opposition before kicking his 26-year-old son's rivals when they were down.

"I really feel that these guys are striving to be the best they can be," said Woods snr. "But there's a limitation on talent. Tiger is continuously improving. He's like a forest fire coming and you don't have anyone to stop it.

"If he had been threatened, he could have switched gears and gone into his attack mode. He can do that anytime he wants. It's called talent."

He added: "You ever see a rabbit try to catch another rabbit?

"If you blink your eyes and open them, you'll find that the rabbits' positions are just the same. If one goes faster, the other goes faster."
