Duncan Scott landed his third British title of the week as he edged out James Guy to claim gold in the men's 200-metre freestyle at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

The University of Stirling swimmer moved away in the final 50m to touch in one minute 45.63 seconds, ahead of Guy and Tom Dean to win and secure a World Championships qualifying time.

Scott said: "It's a solid swim, only 0.3 slower than I went in the European final, so I've got to take that.

"That was a hard swim, constantly battling with Jimmy, but it's always a pleasure as he's a great competitor."

Luke Greenbank added the men's 200m backstroke title to the one he claimed in the 100m earlier in the week with a lifetime-best swim of 1:55.89, shaving a second off his previous mark.

Favourite Alys Thomas also doubled up as she took the 100m women's butterfly crown having already secured the 200m title.

But there was a surprise in the women's 100m breaststroke, where Jocelyn Ulyett edged out Tatiana Belonogoff and Sarah Vasey with 200m champion Molly Renshaw back in fourth.

Ben Proud powered to victory in the men's 50m butterfly 24 hours after claiming the freestyle gold over the same distance.

However, there was drama in the women's 1500m, where Leah Crisp timed her move to perfection to beat Emily Clarke after the pair were neck and neck at the bell.
