Duff and Crespo miss out

Damien Duff and Hernan Crespo have lost their battles to join Chelsea's long-running revenge bid against Barclaycard Premiership leaders Arsenal at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Manager Claudio Ranieri's 11th attempt to overturn the Gunners has suffered a double blow with £17 million winger Duff still not recovered fully from an Achilles tendon injury and £16.8 million striker Crespo ruled out with a high temperature.

John Terry is hopeful of being fit after withdrawing from the England squad with a shin injury but a further setback is the absence of goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini with the groin injury that forced him off in the FA Cup defeat at Highbury last Sunday.
