Craig Bellamy scored twice as Wales gave new manager John Toshack a winning debut with a 2-0 victory over Hungary.

The striker, on loan at Celtic from Newcastle, opened the scoring with a 63rd-minute free-kick and added his second goal late on with a powerful shot past Crystal Palace keeper Gabor Kiraly.

Toshack hopes the win will inject new purpose into a poor World Cup qualifying campaign. He said: "Competitively we haven't done it recently and we must change a few things. It will take time."
