Dennis the menace

14 April 2012

Dennis Rommedahl was hailed by Charlton boss Alan Curbishley after an impressive display in their 2-2 draw at Colchester last night.

Striker Wayne Andrews cut inside Mark Fish and fired home from 20 yards to give the League One side the lead but the goal sparked the visitors into life and it came as no surprise when Mark Fish turned in Paul Konchesky's corner for an equaliser after 18 minutes.

New recruit Rommedahl was inventive throughout and it was the Dane's corner that led to the visitors' second goal through Hermann Hreidarsson after 66 minutes.

Ben May equalised with 10 minutes to go.
