Former British Cycling and Team Sky doctor Richard Freeman was returning to give evidence for a second day at his medical tribunal on Wednesday.

On the opening day, Freeman revealed he had used a “screwdriver or blunt instrument” to destroy a laptop given to him by British Cycling before handing it over to forensic experts.

He said he had done it during a period “when I wasn’t feeling well” and he “had nothing to hide”.

He also claimed he broke down in tears when questioned by Team Sky bosses before he was due to appear in front of a Parliamentary committee.

Freeman has admitted 18 of the 22 charges against him but denies he ordered testosterone to British Cyling headquarters in 2011 “knowing or believing” it was for an athlete.
