Cunningham may miss Republic clash

Wimbledon defender Kenny Cunningham is doubtful for the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Portugal in Dublin on Saturday.

He has a stomach muscle injury and the Republic's manager, Mick McCarthy, said: "Kenny's situation is a cause for concern. But fortunately the rest of the players with minor knocks should be available."

Into that category come Niall Quinn (back), Gary Kelly (ankle) and Gary Breen (groin).
