Alastair Cook and Steven Finn climb ODI rankings

10 April 2012

Alastair Cook and Steven Finn have jumped into the top 10 of the International Cricket Council one-day international rankings on the back of impressive displays in England's 4-0 whitewash of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

One-day skipper Cook moves up 27 places to eighth in the batting rankings following his back-to-back centuries and series haul of 323 runs.

Finn, meanwhile, continued the fine form he produced in India at the end of last year by moving up 67 places to ninth. The 22-year-old paceman took 13 wickets in four appearances.

Kevin Pietersen, who ended a long run of indifferent form in the format with twin hundreds in the last two fixtures, also progressed from 48th to 26th.
