Adil Rashid's slump 'temporary', says Andrew Gale

Adil Rashid's loss of form on England's tour to South Africa is down to a temporary lack of confidence says his new skipper at Yorkshire, Andrew Gale.

Gale captained Rashid in an England Performance Programme match in Pretoria last month after the legspinner had been cut loose from the one-day squad.

Rashid could miss out for the rest of the Test series, as James Tredwell has been added to the squad as back-up to Graeme Swann. Gale said: "He's a great talent but has just lacked a bit of confidence over the last couple of months. I think we'll soon see the Adil Rashid we all know"
