Coppell still has plenty to do

Brighton manager Steve Coppell refused to get carried away after his team moved off the bottom of the First Division with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich.

The Seagulls were on course for a third win in their last four home matches when Bobby Zamora struck just before the interval.

But a late equaliser by Jim Magilton pegged them back, and Coppell said: "We are not even halfway to survival yet." Brighton have changed places with Sheffield Wednesday, but Coppell added: "I'm pleased we've made contact, but if you are in the bottom three you get relegated."

Ipswich manager Joe Royle said: "It all added up to a good away point for us."
